A couple were seriously assaulted when they challenged a man who was urinating in the street.
The 43-year-old man was left with a bleeding on the brain and a broken jaw, police said. His partner, a 34-year-old woman, had her hair pulled out and suffered bruising when she was thrown to the floor.
Police said they attacked after they confronted the man in Fairfax Road, Swiss Cottage. He was joined by two friends from a parked car who took also part in the assault.
Police are also a hunting a female suspect, who they said did not take part in the assault on June 10 this year.
Officers have released images of two men they would like to speak to in relation to the assault.
Detective Constable Angela Greaves, investigating, said: “I am keen to identify and apprehend those responsible for this needlessly vicious attack on a couple making their way home after a night out. I urge anyone who can put a name to the faces of the men pictured to call without delay. Any information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence.”
Anyone who can assist in naming the suspects shown in the images is asked to contact Central North Command Major Crimes by dialling 101 and quoting reference CAD634/10JUN, Tweet @MetCC or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
