A COMMUNITY gardening scheme is offering lucky Arsenal fans the chance to win two seats in the directors’ box to raise vital funds for their cause, writes Samantha Booth.
Culpeper Community Garden, in Dignum Street, have a funding shortfall of nearly half of their budget for the next financial year.
The Christmas raffle is aiming to raise £10,000 to help contribute towards the £50,000 running costs.
Mandy Graham, one of the two part-time garden workers, said: “We are getting increased demand for the work we do.
“The gardens are important, as it’s about having beautiful open spaces and the impact that has on wellbeing.”
The gardens were founded in 1982 by local people and welcomes anyone who wants to garden and enjoy Islington’s limited green space.

Tickets will be on sale at Chapel Market tomorrow (Saturday) between 10am and 4pm. They are also available online until January 1 by visiting tinyurl. com/yd3obn2f
The draw will take place at 2pm on January 4 in the garden.
