London International Gospel Choir with Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine

A GOSPEL choir performed live on radio this week in a makeshift studio in the middle of bustling Nag’s Head market.

The Jeremy Vine BBC Radio 2 show visited Holloway to cover the issues facing Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn in his Islington North constituency ahead of the June 8 general election.

Between discussions of politics, Arsenal FC and Mr Corbyn’s leadership, London International Gospel Choir sang “Shackles” and “Blessing In The Storm” before posing for pictures with Mr Vine.

Nina Rosenberger, a musical director of the choir, which rehearses at Harecourt Reformed Church in Canonbury, said: “It was very wonderful and good exposure. People in the market came up to us and said: ‘Oh, you were amazing’, which was nice.”
