MIDDLEWEIGHT Sherifdeen Lawal got another win under his belt on Friday when he stepped between the ropes at Hornchurch Boxing Club in Essex.
The 25-year-old St Pancras ABC boxer, who lives in Islington, out-pointed Repton’s Callum Hill over three three-minute rounds, taking his “misleading record” to 12 wins in 23 bouts.
“Realistically his record should read 18 wins and maybe five losses – he’s had some bad decisions along the way,” said his coach, CJ Hussein.
“This was his first outing of the year, and he recovered from a slightly nervous start to earn a good win.”
